Murale du sanctuaire

Le Christ en croix, veillant sur la communauté, est l'oeuvre de l'artiste, Bob Hastings, de Garson, de la ville du Grand Sudbury.

Le père Roland Roy, qui a présidé à la construction de l'église, a proposé à l'artiste de s'inspirer de l'oeuvre du peintre impressionniste espagnol, Salvador Dali, Le Christ de Saint Jean de la Croix.

Cette peinture de Dali, très connue de par le monde, a été réalisée en 1951, en Espagne, et est exposée au St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art, à Glasgow, en Écosse. R.U. Dali avait conçu cette oeuvre à partir d'un dessin par un moine du 17^e siècle, Saint Jean de la Croix.

The Christ, on the cross, watching over the community, is the work of artist Bob Hastings, from Garson in the City of Greater Sudbury.

Father Roland Roy, who presided over the construction of the church, had asked the artist to adapt a world famous painting for this particular task. It was a painting of Salvador Dali, a Spanish impressionist painter, Christ of Saint John of the Cross, realized in 1951, in Spain.

Dali's painting, inspired from a sketch by a 17th Century monk, Saint John of the Cross, is currently on display in the St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art, in Glasgow, Scotland U.K.
